Cuts in Social Security Benefits

The Social Security system would be more than solvent were it used only for workers, or surviving spouse, who paid into it.

However, the two most expendable voting groups are seniors and veterans. And, what would politicians use to garner votes if they didn’t offer a space at the public trough?

It ain't just jobs anymore -

Outsourced also is the personal, financial, and medical information of unknowing Americans. Terrorists won't have to come here anymore they can just stay home and call in our nightmares.

What about a truth-in-advertising law that would require firms using the media to advertise their services/products being required to state whether this type of information is processed in a foreign country?

Using the law to destroy the law

There are those who would use the law to destroy the law and to demonize the members of that society they demand entry into. my heart is sick that we are losing our moral compass. it is a specious arguement to say "we have no choice" and therefore must act on it. are we not God's greatest creation, having free will, selfcontrol, intellect and the capacity for emotional love?

Moral Compass

Humans are "above" the other of God's creations because we have free will.  Having "no real choice" does not mean that one should act on those feelings.

This position would then support the societal acceptance of those who have a sexual predilection for children or animals.

I am so frightened that our country is fast losing its moral compass.  Like water slowly eroding a rock. There is no comparison between the Civil Rights movement and the legalization of an aberration.  "Seeing" all sides of an argument is not always good for society.

Anarchy

It appears San Francisco has learned a horrible lesson from Seattle.  Anarchy has raced down I-5 and landed at the door of their Mayor.  It is extremely concerning that in this post September 11 environment we have elected/selected officials wilfully overturning the legal vote of the citizens to promote their personal agenda.  Where does it end and what will be the terrible outcome?

Same sex marriages should be allowed

i'm not threatened by homosexual "marriages" - since i'm an unmarried heterosexual female and liking it that way.

nor am i threatened by illegal foreigners taking my job or that my job will be exported  - as i started my own business and my client list grows everytime i open my mouth and english comes out.

or by the President of Mexico demanding the United States provide more for the the Mexican nationals living in here, legally or otherwise. - because for a foreign leader to show just how corrupt his country is and how ineffective the leaders are provides plenty of daily amusement.

not even threatened by those who failed to take advantage of our educational system to learn enough to support themselves and now make babies and live off the sweat of other's brows.  - i got my education and besides as an American female veteran those services aren't available to me.

or even the man/boy love group that believes love between adult males and prepubescent males if a natural act. - see above. i'm a female over 40.

what concerns me is the fraying of the societal norms that hold us all together.  when all is said and done there we will no longer be a beacon of strength and prosperity to the world.  we'll just be some dirt scrabble country with long dead memories.

The well is empty

It fair boggles the mind -

The President of Mexico demands that the United States provide for illegal Mexican nationals in the United States.

Homosexuals demand the right to destroy the institution of marriage.

Sick people demand that humans be created for use as body parts to heal them.

Criminals demand protection under the very laws they flaunt.

Folks demanding a roof over their head, clothes on their back, food in their belly, and medical care who have not contributed to the general good.

Corporate leaders demanding their share of the consumer dollar after exporting American jobs.

Increasingly people claim, as their right, more than their fair share of societal benefits. It won’t be long now until that which made us great will no longer exist and those selfish, pathetic, wretches will have the country they created.

Our living constitution, unique in the history of the world, will have been used against it’s citizens for the benefit of a few. We won’t need to worry about terrorist attacks - we will have self destructed barely 228 years after the birth of a wonderful exercise in democracy.

We are our own worst enemy

Concern about terrorism after the tragedy of September 11 is real and valid.  Why then do "American" companies outsource our private bank records, medical records, and site security maintainance to third world countries to save wage dollars?  The next attackers won't have to step foot inside the United States to hurt us they can stay home and call in their terrorism.

Well Duh!

I have little sympathy for those companies who export American jobs to save big bucks on wages only to find that trademarked goods not only go out the front door but out the back door as well.  That they then whine about blackmarket goods and "knockoffs" wins them the DUH award.

SHOW ME THE PORK!

I'd be interested in knowing just how high on the hog are those complaining about the President's budget.

Fate caught up with me when I looked my boss in the eye and told him it was the year 2002 in the United States of America when he told me to make coffee.  After that it went down hill.  Terminated for cause – insubordination.  Hell hath no fury like a boss who has just been ‘dissed’.  Everything was liquidated while I tried to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up.  Rough year while I fought the tides of financial ruin………

Seattle and I have both learned to survive the slings and arrows of misfortune.  But Seattle needs to remember who provides the funds for their many politically correct expenditures.  It isn't the undocumented aliens sending millions south each year while drawing on social services.  Seattle elected leaders need to get their collective heads out of their rectums and stop providing a free ride for the drunk and drugged and illegals standing on the corners of downtown Seattle.
